ISEP, Polytechnic Institute of Porto

One of the top schools of technology in Portugal, ISEP has been pioneering education and research in Engineering since 1852. This institute has been successfully involved as a subcontracted entity and has extensive experience in the management and execution of research and service projects, both funded by national and international entities.

ISEP possesses modern and well equipped laboratories, as well as technical support with highly qualified staff. Its research centers are managed by doctoral professors with a wide professional experience in their respective areas of activity.

SUSANA SOUSA

PhD in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at FEUP in 2007. Since 2010 she is adjunct Professor in ISEP. The research interests are focused on the design of 3D scaffolds to be used as drug delivery systems for the control of bone infection.

VALENTINA DOMINGUES

PhD in Chemical Engineering at FEUP in 2005. Since 2010 she is adjunct Professor in ISEP. The research interests are focused on the evaluation on antimicrobial properties of natural and synthetic materials.

TATIANA PADRÃO

MSc in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at FEUP in 2017. Currently she is a researcher assistant at i3S and ISEP. Her research interests are focused on design and development of biomaterials for bone regeneration with antimicrobial properties.
