IPB, Polytechnic Institute of Bragança

The Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (IPB) is a Portuguese University of Applied Sciences with 8000 students and 500 teachers and researchers. It has an internationalization programme with widely recognized success, including the annual mobility of more than 900 incoming and outgoing students and 300 teaching staff members. Nowadays the IPB is a multicultural institution where 30% of its students are international students from all over the World. IPB is also recognized by its performance in applied research and regional engagement.

FILOMENA BARREIRO

PhD in Chemical Engineering at FEUP. She is currently Coordinator Professor at the Department of Chemical and Biological Technology at IPB. Her main research interests are Biobased products, Natural functional ingredients and applications, Nano-and microencapsulation, Hybrid
and Composite materials.

YAIDELIN MANRIQUE

PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering at FEUP. Since 2018, she is post-doctoral researcher at Associate Laboratory LSRE-LCM. Her main
research interests are focused in the area of Product Engineering, on the design of 3D scaffolds for bone regeneration.
